MINUTES OF THE MEETING
GURGAON PROGRESSIVE SCHOOLS COUNCIL, GURGAON
A General Body Meeting of the GPSC was held on 30th March 2017 at S D Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sec-47 at 2:00pm

Proceedings
1. The Chairperson Ms Yasmin Contractor after ascertaining the quorum commenced the meeting by welcoming all the esteemed members.
A Special welcome was accorded to the new member school (Shiv Nadar School) represented by its Principal Ms Monika Sagar.
2. Minutes of the last meeting were ratified and approved.
3. The Chairperson discussed about the new examination policy which is being implemented w.e.f the session 2017-18 as per directives received from the CBSE.
4. It was also ascertained that with the imminent payment to staff as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations, no school has implemented any extraordinary fee-hike for the next session.
5. It was broadly discussed that sale of uniforms and school stationery is facilitated for a fixed period by the schools for the convenience of parents and no regular tuck shops are being run in the premises amounting to so-called commercial activity.
6. In an executive committee Meeting held before the General Body Meeting, the members nominated the new Governing Body for the next two years.
Newly constituted Governing Body was introduced to the members.

7. The Members congratulated the officials of the new Governing Body.
8. A floral send-off was given to the outgoing Chairperson. Secretary Mrs Ujwal Malhotra put on record her appreciation for the erstwhile team and especially the Chairperson for the camaraderie and the excellence that was put into each task accomplished during their tenure of two years.
9. Mrs Aditi Misra was accorded a floral welcome and congratulated on being nominated as the Chairperson GPSC for a term of two years w.e.f April 2017.
10. Mr Shakeel of ‘Mind Mingle’ motivated the members to participate in large numbers along with their students in ‘The Inspiration Festival’ which is being organized on 30th April 2017 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
11. A formal Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs Nirmal Yadav to the host school for its warm hospitality and sumptuous repast.
There being no other matter, the meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks to the Chair.
