Seminar on GST held in presence of CM, Dy. CM, Opposition Leaders and MLAs

GST fulfills long time demand of One Nation One Tax: Vijaybhai Rupani

Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani addressed in a seminar organized by Gujarat Vidhansabha Sachivalaya for understanding and guidance in presence of State Assembly Speaker, Opposition Leader, Dy. Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers and MLAs here in Gandhinagar. He considered the Goods and Service Tax (GST) as the step to fulfill long time demand of One Nation One Tax. In this context he said that GST will be proven as an important step towards the direction to restructure India’s tax structure. GST is the commendable step for India to stand along other nations in present era of globalization.

Mr. Rupani clearly said that earlier variation was there regarding tax for different goods and items in different state, as a result to GST this inequality will be detached and equal tax structure will be applied.

He expressed his view that the role of GST will be important for Ease of Doing Business to make transparent, online and simple administration of various states. The GST bill has passed through the involvement of Finance Ministers of the states across the nation in GST council meeting and with considering national-interest. He expressed his expectation that GST will be passed in Gujarat with focusing consumer centric interest.

State Assembly Speaker Mr. Ramanbhai Vora appealed for cooperation to pass GST bill with a view to considering people-interest with cooperation of ruling and opposition parties as well. This effort made by Vidhansabha Sachivalaya is an exemplary step, he added.

Opposition Leader Mr. Shankarsinh Vaghela made understand them about the need to purpose of GST to rather the income of tax may lesser to the government but to provide cheaper and easy availability of goods to people and no penalty for vendors.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel considered the law as historic and for giving momentum in economy-businesses of the nation within nearer future. Till now there were different excise, VAT, service tax and other taxes in the states across the nation. With implementation of a single law uniformity will take place across the nation.

At the beginning of the seminar, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Anil Mukim welcomed all and clearly briefed about the purpose of the seminar. Commissioner of Commercial Tax Mr. P. D. Vaghela showcased presentation of GST.

On the occasion, State Assembly Members, State Cabinet Ministers, ruling and opposition chief-whips and Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh along with senior secretaries of the state were remained present.

CM’s important decision

Now premium to waive-off for Central Govt. Employees-Officials, Retired army Jawans on selling their allocated residential land after 25 years possession

Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has decided in extensive interest for Central Government employees-officials and retired army Jawans to waive off the premium in case they sell construction made on their allocated residential land-plot after possession of 25 years. This decision is only for the construction made on their residential purpose land-plots.

As per this decision made by Mr. Rupani on behalf of the state government, while a land/plot along with construction to be sell for special reasons, the employee have to deposit the difference amount to state government after deducting the original possession amount from the value of plot as per its present market value. They have to indicate the clear details along with required supporting proof regarding special reasons for selling.

Furthermore, if such plot to be sold within 10 years from the date of completion certificate provided for the constructed building on the allocated plot, then the premium worth 100% of the difference amount to be paid after deducting yearly 10% simple interest on the base price from its market value. In case of selling after 10 years but within 15 years premium would be 75%, in case of selling after 15 years and within 20 years premium would be 50%, and in case of selling after 20 years and within 25 years premium would be 25% and the same should be deposited to government. As a result to this decision, now on the prescribed premium provisions to be implicated among central government employees-officials, retired army Jawans and state government employees as well.

Mexico Envoy to India pays courtesy visit to CM

Gandhinagar, Monday: Mexican Ambassador to India Ms. Melba Pria today paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani here in Gandhinagar. She is been designated as Ambassador to India since April 2015.

During the meeting, the duo had counseling about the participation for development in sectors like Automobile and Auto Ancillary, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Engineering and Tourism.

Apart from these Mr. Rupani had discussion about the supply of important engineering components for Medical Device, Machinery and Aerospace sectors between Gujarat and Mexico.

During the meeting Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Chief Secretary of Industry Mr. Manojkumar Das, and Industry Commissioner Mrs. Mamta Verma were remained present.

CM expresses pro-people commitment for liquor prohibition, fee settlement committee, Generic Store and to legitimate proposed houses

Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani overwhelmed the skills and ability of the Soni community of the state to discern gold in the honor programme organized at old Gin Mill by Girnara Parajiya Soni Gyati Yuvak Mandal of Rajkot. Realization of motherland and social works done can only be felt by doing works for the needy persons and this feeling is considered as invaluable.

Briefing about the role of different decisive initiative for public interest through Government on fast track, Mr. Rupani said that State Government is committed for the implementation of strict law for liquor prohibition, formation of fee settlement committee for private schools, generic stores for medicines at cheap rates and to legitimate proposed houses.

Resonating about the State Government’s policy to give before asking Mr. Rupani said that in the previous assembly state government has passed 24 public interest laws which are as an approach for the happiness of the public. He wants to make Gandhi and Sardar Saheb’s Gujarat divine and virtuous with public support.

Mr. Rupani was honored and felicitated with floral garland and memento by the leaders and senior citizens of Soni community. Soni community leader Mr. Chimanlal Lodhiya appreciated the public interest schemes implemented by state government.

On the occasion Gujarat Tourism Corporation Member of Board of Directors Mr. Mandhatasinh Jadeja, MLA Mrs. Bhanuben Babariya, Rajkot Mayor Dr. Jaimanbhai Upadhyay, MP Mr. Mohanbhai Kundariya, Corporator Mrs. Varshben Ranpara, leader Mr. Nitinbhai Bhardwaj and people from Soni community were remained present.
