Guidelines for San BenitoCounty 4-H Memorial Scholarships
Three 4-H Scholarship programs are available to San BenitoCounty 4-H members who:
- Are currently enrolled and active in San BenitoCounty 4-H.
- Are graduating from high school.
- Have been a 4-H member in San BenitoCounty for a minimum of (4) years.
- GEORGIA WAPPLE FRAZER
- One 4-year scholarship ($1000/year – $4000 total)
- Recipient of four-year scholarship will have four years to access funds.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- A scholastic record of 3.0 or higher for grades 10-12.
- The rank of Gold Star or higher in the 4-H Incentives and Awards Program.
- JOHN W. RICOTTI 4-H MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
- One scholarship - $600 minimum.
- Recipient has one year to access funds.
- No additional eligibility requirements.
- 4-H MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
- One scholarship - $500 minimum.
- Recipient has one year to access funds.
- No additional eligibility requirements.
Applicant must:
1.Submit a completed Application (Form A) including responses to questions, two recommendations(Forms B & C),
4-H Record Book,Official Sealed High School Transcripts, and Letter of Recommendations.
2.Be interviewed by the 4-H Scholarship Committee. You will be contacted for an interview no later than the second
week in May.
Selection Criteria: Awards may be withheld if applicants do not meet criteria.

Scholarships may be used at any school of continuing education above high school.
After being awarded a scholarship, the recipientmust submit to the San Benito 4-H Office a college transcript
that shows completion of 12 units and proof of re-enrollment as a full-time student.
All scholarship information is due to the 4-H Office by 4:00 p.m., April 8, 2013. No Exceptions!
