Group 1Main Street District Clean Up- East
Group will be given a map of the designated area and pick up any trash, leaves etc., in public parking lots, on sidewalks and along the curb & gutter, paying close attention to areas where dirt and leaves may gather in corners etc., also weeds on sidewalks.
- Tools needed: brooms & dust pans (dust pans can be used to scoop leaves & dirt if necessary)
- Trash Bags will be provided
Group 2Main Street District Clean up – West

Group 3Decatur Chamber
Group will be cleaning up outside the building, leaves & trash. Clean up of storage room and put up the Christmas Tree.
- Tools will be provided.
Group 4Visitor Center Flower Beds
Group will be weeding and cleaning out flower beds, putting in new dirt in places and mulch and new plants in others.
- Tools needed: shovels, spade forks, spades, gloves (?)
Group 5Benches
Group will be painting new wooden benches (BLACK) to be placed downtown.
- All Tools will be provided including disposable gloves.
This group should wear old clothes and shoes!
Group 6Visitor Center Basement Clean up- Christmas Prep
Group will be sweeping, organizing the basement storage area and setting up Christmas trees for the Visitor Center.
- Tools needed: brooms & dust pans
- Trash bags will be provided if needed.
Group 7Window & Sidewalk Cleaning – North East
Group will be cleaning windows and sidewalks in a designated area of the downtown district.
- Tools Needed: Brooms & dust pans.
- Trash bags and window cleaning items will be provided.
Group 8Window and Sidewalk Cleaning- South West
Group will be cleaning windows and sidewalks in a designated area of the downtown district.
- Tools Needed: Brooms & dust pans.
- Trash bags and window cleaning items will be provided.
- Groups 7 & 8 will also be given a ladder to share to check & replace bulbs on awnings at specific downtown businesses. ( a list will be provided on Friday) They will also be taking down the Eagle Flags on light poles.
Group 9Courthouse Flower Beds
Group will be weeding and cleaning out trash from courthouse flower beds, planting some new plants and mulch where needed.
- Tools Needed: rakes, hoes, spades, gloves
Group 10Visitor Center- Christmas Bulb Check
Group will be checking Christmas decorations (wreaths etc.) for bulb replacement and sorting through used bulbs to check for disposal as necessary.
Group 11Project Bloom Park
Group will be weeding, cleaning out trash and replacing plants & mulch as needed.
Wildflower area will be raked and seeds dispersed.
- Tools Needed: spades, hoes, rakes
Group 12City Hall Christmas Decorations
Group will be setting up the City hall Christmas Tree and checking bulbs on outside decorations.
