CNHS Class '75 USA Scholarship Foundation
On November 12, 2005, the members of CHNS Class of 1975 USA Alumni Group celebrated its 30th Anniversary in National City, California and founded what is now the CNHS Class '75 Scholarship Foundation.
1. MAIN OBJECTIVE
To offer scholarship grants to children of CNHS 1975 alumni who are in need of financial assistance in completing their high school education thereby providing these children a better chance for a brighter future.
Scholarship grants will cover tuition fees, books, and, in some cases, transportation expenses.
2. SOURCE OF FUNDS
Funding for the scholarship foundation will come mainly from, but not limitedto, the contributions of the members of CaviteNationalHigh School (CNHS) Class of 1975.
3. Founders and Incorporators
Members who donated and pledged to support the project for at least four (4) years will be considered as Founders and Incorporators of the Scholarship Foundation, and are as follows:

4. SCHOLARSHIP POLICIES & PROCEDURES
A. POLICIES
1)The scholarship program will be limited to children of CNHS Class of 1975 Alumni.
2)Generally, the program will offer a four-year scholarship to qualified elementary graduates who will enroll at the CaviteNationalHigh School.
3) Children of alumni who are already attending high school at the onset of this scholarship program may also apply. Application will only be approved on a case by case basis and will be subject to annual review.
4)Scholarships to be awarded will be based on both the financial need and grades of the applicant.
5)The Foundation’s Officers shall determine the expenses to be covered and how much each scholar should receive.
6)The Foundation’s Officers shall also determine whether to increase the award based on the prevailing costs/prices in the Philippines.
B. PROCEDURE
1) Scholarship to be awarded will be based on the following:
Economic need 60%
Academic grades40%
2) CNHS Class of 1975 Alumni can either apply directly for their children or recommend any alumni children who can meet the foundation’s eligibility requirements.
3)Application, together with the required proof of eligibility, will be given to a representative in the Philippines who in turn, will forward it to the Foundation for selection and approval.
4)Upon selection and approval of scholars, disbursements from the fund will coordinated by the Chairman and Treasurer of the foundation.
“ADOPT-A-SCHOLAR” PROGRAM
We will follow an “Adopt-a-Scholar” program for those sponsors who have pledged to support a scholar for four (4) consecutive years.
The sponsor will be the one to choose his/her scholar from a list provided by the foundation.
The last name of the sponsor will be added to “CNHS Class 1975 Scholar” in recognition of his/her contribution to the Foundation.
The sponsor and the scholar are encouraged to maintain communication using our private messaging in our CNHS1975 website.
No sponsor’s personal information, such as address and phone nos., will be provided to the scholar unless approved by the sponsor.
5. SCHOLARSHIP CLASSIFICATION
The following scholarship will be offered:
PLATINUM SCHOLARSHIP
1)This scholarship will be offered to Elementary School Honor Graduates;
2)will receive a maximum of $180.00 a year;
3)shall meet and maintain a scholastic record with grade not lower than 85% in all subjects; and
4)will be chosen by the donor/sponsor from a list that will be provided by the foundation’s screening committee.
GOLD SCHOLARSHIP
1) Scholar will receive a maximum of $100.00 a year;
2) shall meet and maintain a scholastic record with grade not lower
than 80%in all subjects; and
3)will be chosen by the donor/sponsor from a list that will be provided by the foundation’s screening committee.
SILVER SCHOLARSHIP
3) Scholar will receive a maximum of $90.00 a year;
4) shall meet and maintain a scholastic record with grade not lower
than 80% in all subjects; and
3)will be chosen by the donor/sponsor from a list that will be provided by the foundation’s screening committee.
