NEWSLETTER NO.1 DATE: January 14 2018
Greetings BNC members and families,
Welcome to the first edition of Bayside Netball Club’s newsletter for 2018. I trust you had an enjoyable festive season.
For those who are new to BNC, my name is Joanne Brown and I joined our club committee last year. Each week I plan to publish a newsletter containing match reports for each team. The newsletter will also serve to convey any other information to our club community.
Although games do not start for a couple of weeks, there are a number of important notices pertaining to all players. In particular, there is a registration procedure every BNC player (in each age group) must complete prior to January 29 or you will be unable to play. A step by step guide is printed on p.2.

2018 Registration – to be completed by all players in Bayside Netball Club by January 29 2018 (even if you have registered with another club!)
Step 1: Make sure you have the following information at your fingertips:
- player’s Netball Vic no.;
- ‘My Netball’ log in details (i.e. username - usually the email address you use for netball notifications – and
your password; and
- your credit card.
Step 2: U13 and U15 players please proceed to Step 3.
U17 and Open players please proceed to Step 11.
Step 3 (for U13/15s only): Open the link - common/pages/reg/welcome.aspx? type=1&sslredirect=1&entityid= 39605&fl=1&id=34751
Step 4: Scroll down to ‘Get Started’. Click on it and log into ‘My Netball’.
Step 5: Select the player to be registered by their name and Netball Vic no. Click continue.
Step 6: Choose your club – i.e. Bayside Sandringham.
Step 7: Select Waverley Night Junior Membership - $53.00. Click continue.
Note: If you have already paid NV reg through another club, the ‘system’ will not charge you again (i.e. it will be free) but you still need to complete the registration in this link.
Step 8: Update participant (i.e. player) details.
Step 9: Proceed to make payment (if necessary) and click ‘submit’.
Step 10: You should receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes from Waverley Netball Centre. Proceed to Step 19.
Step 11 (for U17/Open only): Open the link -
Step 12: Scroll down to ‘Get Started’. Click on it and log into ‘My Netball’.
Step 13: Select the player to be registered by their name and Netball Vic no. Click continue.
Step 14: Choose your club – i.e. Bayside Sandringham.
Step 15: Choose age group -
Junior ($53.00) if born between 1/1/2001-31/12/2007 or
Senior ($73.00) if born on or before 31/12/2000
Note: If you have already paid Netball Vic reg through another club, the ‘system’ will not charge you again (i.e. it will be free) but you still need to complete the registration in this link.
Click continue.
Step 16: Update participant (i.e. player) details.
Step 17: Proceed to make payment (if necessary) and click ‘submit’.
Step 18: You should receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes from Parkville Netball.
U17s please note: you need to register with Parkville via the above link. If you are selected to play at Waverley, BNC will also connect you to Waverley Night Netball Competition. (It is ok to be registered with both.)

Step 20: Remember, registration must be completed by January 29 2018 (regardless of registration with other clubs) or you will be unable to play.

Please Note: URL codes are different for each of the four payments. Please make sure you use the correct URL for each payment to ensure the correct amount is paid.
Uniforms
Uniforms will be available from mid January. Exact dates will be posted soon.
Pre-season Training for 2018
Pre-season training is well underway with lots of work on match fitness. The following dates have been set for pre-season training for juniors:
January – Sunday 14, Tuesday 16, Sunday 21, Tuesday 23 & Sunday 28
Please note:
Training on Tuesdays for juniors will be at the beach, Corner Royal Ave and Beach Rd, 6-7pm. Meet at the car park.
Training on Sundays for juniors will be at the Thomas St Courts –
Under 13's at 3.30pm to 5.00pm
Under 15's at 3.30pm to 5.00pm (U15's please arrive 10 minutes early)
Under 17's at 4.00pm until 6.00pm.
Open playersare advised by email/facebook.
Weather exemptions will apply – please check BNC website by 5pm in the event of adverse weather.
Pre-season training is compulsory for all age groups. Please email BNC if you will be away on holidays.
