Adult Commitments
Arrival
· Greet students as they arrive and smile. J
· Remind students to move directly to before school activity or assigned area.
· Report to assigned supervision area at 7:42 am.
· Provide active supervision – move, scan, and interact with students.
· Remind students of school expectations. (voice level, dress code, gum)
· Acknowledge students who meet expectations.
· Remind students to secure their belongings before leaving common areas.
Hallways and Stairs
· Remind students of school expectations before they enter the hallways.
· Report to assigned supervision area in a timely manner.

· Provide active supervision – move, scan, and interact with students.
· Redirect students to walk on the right side of the hallway and keep moving.
Cafeteria
· Arrive to the cafeteria on time for assigned duty.
· Remind students of school expectations.
· Direct students to designated areas.
· Provide active supervision - move, scan, and interact with students.
· Acknowledge students who meet the expectations.
· Redirect students who don’t have a tray, to pick one up.
· Remind students to touch and eat their food only.
· Instruct and remind students of table manners.
Extracurricular
· Model the correct responses to game situations.
· Provide active supervision – move, scan, & interact with students and parents.
· Monitor entry/exits and instruct students on appropriate times to enter/leave extracurricular activities.
· Remind spectators where to find the trash cans.
Dismissal
· Remind students of dismissal expectations before they leave class.
· Report to assigned supervision areas by 3:05 pm.
· Provide active supervision – move, scan, and interact with students.
· Assist students as necessary.
Technology: Computer Lab
· Remind students of expectations specific to technology being used.
· Provide seating chart or computer assignment.
· Monitor student use of technology at all times.
· Report any problems with technology utilizing the 360 system.
· Communicate usage needs on the sign-up sheet.
· Remind students to log off of computers at the end of the period.
· Instruct students to shut down computers at the end of the day.
Fieldtrip
· Remind students of school and field trip expectations.
· Instruct students of any rules or expectations specific to the event/venue they will be visiting.
· Maintain an accurate roster of students participating in the field trip.
· Position chaperones throughout the bus.
· Provide active supervision at all times - move, scan, and interact with students throughout the trip.
· Model appropriate responses to the given field trip.
Convocations
· Remind students of expectations for convocations.
· Instruct students on any rules or behaviors specific to the convocation they are attending.
· Walk students to and from convocation.
· Direct students where to sit.
· Sit with your class during the convocation and monitor student behavior.
· Ensure all students are able to engage in the presentation.
Restrooms
· Monitor restrooms during passing periods.
· Make sure students sent to the restroom return in a timely manner.
· Report any problems with restrooms to main office.
Recess (Gym, Football Field, or Commons Area after Lunch)
· Remind students of expectations during recess.
· Provide active supervision - move, scan, and interact with students.
· Acknowledge students who meet the expectations.
· Secure field equipment during recess.
· Signal end of recess so all students are notified.
Commons
· Remind students of school rules and expectations.
· Provide active supervision - move, scan, and interact with students.
· Acknowledge students who meet school expectations.
· Monitor restroom use and check restrooms periodically.
· Remind students to secure their belongings before leaving common areas.
Media Center
· Remind students to use self-control.
· Model courteous behavior toward media center staff.

· Remind students to print only materials necessary for class.
· Signal the end of class so students can log off the computers.
· Remind students of appropriate book check-in and check-out procedures.
· Remind students to adjust voice level to type of activity.
· Make sure students push in chairs and pick up paper from tables and floor.
