The Great Company Award (SME category) will recognise excellence in SME* performance in the offshore energy sector (oil and gas and all forms of renewables).

The judges are seeking evidence of the company’s development to date – including successful creation and growth of the company, clear strategic direction and strong product/service differentiation. Clear evidence of plans for the future success and growth of the company – both within the UK and internationally, should also be provided, as well as details of any business diversification which has taken place or is due to take place.

*The Offshore Achievement Awards uses the EU definition of Small and Medium Enterprises as criteria, therefore entrants in the Great Company Award (SME category) must:

a) Have fewer than 250 employees, and;

b) Have annual turnover not exceeding EUR 50million or an annual balance sheet total not exceeding EUR 43million, and;

c) Be independent – no more than 25% of the capital or voting rights can be owned by one of more enterprises which fall outside the SME definition

This will be used as a script for the video that will be recorded describing all short-listed companies and will be screened at the awards ceremony.
