Experience:Skills gained include inspection and repair of engine components in accordance with maintenance manual
instructions, reading and interpreting equipment drawings and schematics, use of precision tools and
testing equipment, troubleshooting, and understanding of basic electrical theory. Training also includes the disassembly, inspection, reassembly and troubleshooting of hydraulic, flight control, pneumatic, and fuel systems. Hands-on projects include inspection, evaluation, and repair of honeycomb, laminated, and acrylic materials per FAA regulations. Skills also include the ability to start, ground operate, and troubleshoot various powerplant operations including preparation of condition reports, maintenance records, and the ability to determine compliance with all data.
