CITIZENS COOPERATE WITH TAX ADMINISTRATION VIA TELEPHONE
CALL CENTER REGISTERED 197 DENOUNCEMENTS DURING APRIL 2009
Citizens are can denounce any case of corruption and position abuse by tax officials by calling the number 19707 free of charge both for fixed and mobile networks, implementing the aims and measures designated by the Action Plan for coordinating the combat against corruption and organized crime.

Such efficiency in Tax Administration practice was approved by the public and the Call Center completely justified the intention of this authority to, together with transparency of its work, offer to citizens and tax payers the opportunity to actively participate in creation of tax discipline and business atmosphere, which have become synonims of the modern business society. In this way Tax Administration is involved in efficient implementation of all legal regulations, contributing to the combat against grey economy, corruption and organized crime.
What especially encourages the heads of Tax Administration is the fact that the public accepted this form of cooperation, opening the way for continuation of such practice in future.
During April, Tax Administration Call Center was dialed by 197 persons, from: Podgorice – 107, Budve – 17, Bijelog Polja – 5, Berana-6, Nikšića - 8, Herceg Novog-24, Ulcinja– 9, Bara-15, Kotora - 6 and Cetinja-2.
Out of the total number of calls, 179 denounced failing to submit fiscal bills, 6 work without licence and 12 irregularities in business operation.
No cases of corruption were denounced during this month.
According to the statistiscs, Tax Administration «reaction» in all cases was 100%, what means that on the base of every registered call the order for control was issued to tax auditors in 24 hours, in order to eliminate all irregularities. The citizens who reported the iregulatity were informed about the results via the contact phone numbers.
Further more, Tax Administration officials expect that this form of cooperation will become a part of everyday practice, not only for tax payers, but also for all citizens and the public, with the aim of improving tha quality of communication, mutual cooperation and creation of business confidence and equal conditions for performing business and taxation of tax payers.
