A) Definitions – Matching

B)TWO Journal Responses to a quote. Refer to your journal response guidelines in your notes or the homework site.

C)Write a 2-voice poem using any characters from the year. You may not bring your written poem into the examination. Here are some of the characters we were introduced to:

  • The Truman Show – be careful as you wrote one with these characters before.

Should national parks offer free public Wi-Fi?

Persuade the reader that national parks should/shouldn’t offer free public Wi-Fi. Discuss reasons why a family trip or experience can be positively or negatively affected by having Wi-Fi free to all people that are within the park.

Should schools raise money by selling candy and sugary soft drinks to students?

Coke or Pepsi

Persuade the reader that either Coke or Pepsi is the best soft drink option. Discuss reasons and provide examples to support your reasons. Perhaps the advertisements are better, nutritional value, or taste? Good luck!

Should public schools begin the day with a silent prayer time?

Should pets wear clothing?

Persuade the reader that pets should wear clothes. Regardless of what types of pets people have, maintain that those pets should be dressed. Discuss reasons why the animals want to be clothed, why the public would like to see pets dressed up and the different outfits pets could wear for certain occasions and outings.

Lying is a natural and necessary part of good relationships.

Crazy right? Persuade the reader that lying is a good thing for a healthy relationship. Don’t forget, you need three reasons. The truth hurts!
