PLAYSCHEME Site Supervisor

Grade 4 Scale Point 15 -19 £17,072 - £18,746 Pro Rata

We are seeking to appoint suitably qualified/experienced Site Supervisors to plan and deliver high quality open access playschemes for children aged 8 to 12 years or 5-15 years in both Torfaen and Monmouthshire.

Ideally you will have some playwork / disability experience and an aptitude for organising fun activities and consider yourself to be enthusiastic and committed.

Job Purpose
To work with and support a small team of staff in delivering safe and stimulating open access play opportunities for children and young people aged 8-12 years ( 5-15 years) within a summer playscheme setting.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1.  As Site Supervisor you will be responsible for the on-site operation of the playscheme
2.  As Site Supervisor you will be required to prepare and check the site each morning before the playscheme starts and return the site to its original state when the playscheme finishes.
3.  As site supervisor you will be expected to work with a small team of staff and volunteers.
4.  As site supervisor you will liaise with Senior Staff for guidance in delivering a flexible activity program which will include:- arts and craft, music, games, sports, themed days etc.
5.  As Site Supervisor you will be responsible for the daily registration of both staff and children within your site. In addition to this, it will be your responsibility to keep up to date all relevant paperwork including accident forms, fire evacuation check lists and evaluation sheets.
6.  As Site Supervisor you will be expected to liaise on a daily basis with the Area Linkworker to resolve any issues arising or resource requirements.
7.  As Site Supervisor you will be expected to communicate effectively and appropriately with parents/carers and community members
8.  As Site Supervisor you will be expected to link closely to the Playwork Principles throughout your daily practice.
9.  As Site Supervisor you will be responsible to ensure that Health and Safety and First Aid regulations are adhered to all times.
10. To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required for this post.
