EnrollmentinthehealthinsuranceplanofferedbyMissionCISDsatisfiestherequirementtohave healthinsurance.TheHumanaInsuranceEnrollmentGuideexplainswhoiseligibletoenrollinthe districthealthinsurance.

Enrollment inanother plan,suchasthroughaspouse,parent,orassociation,alsosatisfiesthe requirementtohavehealthinsuranceiftheplanprovidesminimumessentialcoverage.

Asanalternativetothedistricthealthinsuranceplan,youmayenrollininsurancethroughtheHealth InsuranceMarketplace.InTexas, theMarketplaceisafederalgovernmentprogramthatwilloffer"one­ stopshopping"tofindandcompareprivatehealthinsuranceoptions.Mostindividualsareeligibleto enrollininsurancethroughtheMarketplace.TheMarketplacewillbeginenrollmentinOctober2013for coveragebeginninginJanuary2014.ForinformationontheMarketplace,seew1'-'w.healthcare.gov.

Youmaybeeligibleforapremiumtaxcreditorotherassistancetowardinsuranceobtainedthrough theMarketplace,depending onyourhouseholdincome.More informationonthepremiumtaxcredit andothercostsharingprovisionsisavailableat notcontributetopremiumcostsifyouenrollininsurancethroughtheMarketplace.Also,youwilllose thebenefitofpayingthepremiumwithpre-taxincomeifyoupurchaseinsurancethroughthe Marketplace.
