Natural Gotham through the Lens
This year there are 2 age-specific categories and prizes will be awarded for the winner and runner-up in each category. The entry fee per photograph entered is £1.00.
So get your cameras at the ready, get creative, and join in the fun!!
Terms and Conditions
1. The theme is open to individual interpretation but entries must have the natural world of the village of Gotham at their heart. You may choose to photograph local wildlife, including animals and plants, landscapes, or even the weather. Pictures of pets or cultivated plants are not eligible.
2. Entries must be taken within the Parish of Gotham, especially those taken on Gotham Nature Reserve.
3. Please note all entries must be hard copies.
4. Each entrant can submit up to 5 photographs per age category, maximum size A4, BUT no one person may win more than 1 prize.
5. Age categories are as follows: Age under 16 & Age 16 and over.
6. Photographs can be submitted in either black and white, colour, sepia...however you feel the photo looks best.
7. Cost per entry is £1.00 per photograph. Payment can be made in cash or via cheque made payable to Gotham Nature Reserve.
8. Each entry/entries should be placed in an envelope and each photograph be marked on reverse with full name, age, address, contact telephone number and e mail address (where applicable), and details of the location of where the photograph was taken, along with the relevant entry fee/s. Please note that entrants under the age of 12 will need to have parental or guardian consent to take part – therefore can Parents / Guardians please print and sign your name on the reverse of each photograph.
9. Entries will be welcomed from Monday 2 October, with the competition closing date as Tuesday 31 October 2017, after which date applications cannot be accepted. Applications should be posted to / dropped into:

b. c/o Jane, Gotham Nature Reserve Photography Competition, The Spar Shop, Gotham - where there will be a box available for you to post your entries
10. By entering the competition you are granting the GNR the right to publish and exhibit photographs for marketing purposes, be it via the GNR website or in any other associated media. You can opt out of this by request, should you wish to do so.
11. All entries will be assessed by a panel of Judges selecting those in each age category which best illustrate the theme of the competition. Please note that the Judges’ decision is final.
12. The best 2 photographic entries from each category will be selected and entrants will invited to attend the GNR Annual General Meeting, which will be held in the Church Hall (date tbc). The winners will then be announced on the evening.
