Goslin's Rules and Guidelines

1) Be on time. If you come in after the bell assume you have been marked tardy.

2) Do not engage in any behavior that will disrupt class.

3) NO: Food, drinks, electronics, doing work for other classes, talking out of place or sleeping. Don’t annoy me or anyone else while we’re all working.

4) If you don’t want to do any work then don’t come to class.

5) Remain in your seats until the bell rings. Do not stand by the door.

6) If you get the okay to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc., make sure you take one of the Hall Passes. Don’t wander. Do your business and get back to class.

7) Watch movies/videos from start to finish. Answer any questions assigned. If you sleep, talk or goof off you will lose points. If you miss a video and it is available online then you must make up the assignment on your own time in a timely manner.

8) Take notes. Taking notes increases comprehension, retention and reduces the likelihood that you will cause problems. You can use notes on most tests/quizzes.

9) It is your responsibility to complete any assignments you may have missed while absent. Check the appropriate folders on the wall.

10) No late work.

11) No extra credit.

12) If you get tossed you’ll be marked absent and get a zero on the assignment for the day. If necessary I’ll create one just so I can give you a zero.

13) Verbal and posted reminders are courtesies on my part and not required of me (no saying, “but I was absent that day and didn’t know what I was missing”).

14) The lack of a current grade report does not buy you more time to complete missed work. Check your grade online.

15) If you are absent on the last day to make up an assignment you will still get a zero. You would have had ample opportunity to make it up on any number of prior days.

16) Failing this class is real easy. If you fail, it will be your fault, not mine. I will supply the rope, but you will have willingly put your head through the noose.
