Flexible units from approx. 5,000 sqm will be available there from the start of 2018.The new logistics centre is the third project for the integrated property group in Hamburg.

On the site, located at Moorburger Bogen, a new development with a total of 35,000sqmlogistics space will be initiated in May 2017.The property will include3,000sqmof mezzaninespace and approximately 2,000sqmoffice and social space. The entire complex can be subdivided into and let as three or more independent units or as a single unit. The property concept is geared towards flexibility and allows use by companies from various industries, including the potential for cross-docking logistics.

In line with the majority of the sites developed by Goodman in Germany, the new project in the Port of Hamburg is a brownfield conversion built with high sustainability specifications. The property is expected to obtain a Gold certificate from the German Sustainable Building Council(DGNB) upon completion, which was a key component in Goodman’s ability to secure the land following a tendering process by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA).

“We are seeing significant demand for modern logistics sites in Hamburg, which is outstripping current supply. With our new logistics centre, we are providing customers with a high-quality, flexible site in Germany’s logistics hotspot,” saidChristof Prange, Head of Business Development for Goodman in Germany.

Multimodallocation

Optimally situated in the southern Port of Hamburg, the extensive transport network supports a broad range of transport modes available in close vicinity of the planned logistics centre. The A1 motorway, located less than two kilometres from the site, and the A7 motorway, within only six kilometres, cover the road network to the south and north. The B73 and B75 trunk roads are also within immediate reach. Moreover, Altenwerder, Burchardkai and Eurokai container terminals are located eight kilometres away. In addition to these excellent transport connections, the property will offer future employees the benefit of approximately120 car parking spaces on site and access to local public transport within walking distance. Prominent neighbours will include Daimler, Airbus, DHL, Kuehne + Nagel, DSV and Rhenus.

Uwe Weidemann, Head of Marketing and Project Development at Hamburg Port Authoritywelcomed the new development:“Companies like Goodman are important partners for the Hamburg Port Authority.
