Escondido Art Association- is pleased to announce the funding of its 2017 scholarship program for graduating seniors gifted in the visual arts through the generosity of Design Moe Kitchen & Bath of Escondido. The total amount of scholarship money is $1,000: $500 for1stPlace, $300 for 2ndPlace, and $200 for 3rd Place, in addition to a free two-year membership in the Escondido Art Association. Distinguished Young Women– is seeking outstanding Junior girls for The Distinguished Young Women of San Diego County Scholarship Program. Soaring Eagles Chapter – American Business Women’s Association – is offering a scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund. The field of study is not specified and the scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000. For consideration, candidates must be women who: (1) are citizens of the US and residents of SD County, CA; (2) will be college freshman or sophomore in August, 2017; (3) are attending or have been accepted at an accredited US college or university; (4) have achieved a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. Oz Foundation Scholarship - San Diego or Santa Clara Counties, CA. Oz Foundation is a family organization that has funded the college education of students from low-income backgrounds. The ideal candidate is someone who is presently attending high school or college and has demonstrated that he or she is capable of college/university work but does not have the financial resources to attend college. If accepted, recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA per term and complete at least 12 units each quarter/semester while attending college to remain eligible.
