Polite Piggy's Day Camp/SYSTEM's (Grades One and Up) is a comprehensive out of school time program which offers services to families before school, after school, half days, professional development days, teacher record keeping days and winter, spring and summer breaks. We have been in operation since 2007 servicing Maury families. Polite Piggy's offers daily programming to meet the academic, social and physical needs of our children and as our babies got older we started another facet called SYSTEM's or Successful Youth in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. SYSTEM's Day Camp was created for our older children because they have very different needs and interests than children ages 3-5 in Polite Piggy's. We offer daily choice activities for students in grades one and up. As well, we continue to maintain a ratio of 8:1 with our older group and sometimes less. This affords us the opportunity to break the children into small groups during the programming schedule. Extra hands and small groups are critical when introducing children to new activities and with the increasing depth of the work they do during this fun time. We will going forward pursue creative ways to infuse the Common Core into the work we do to best support our children. Feedback and ideas are always welcome while we are planning what next year's programming will look like. Below you will find the programming calendar for our Cycle 3 to get a feel for what we offer. Programming changes quarterly with some amazing things staying year round due to popular demand or because the work the children do builds in time. If you have any questions or would like more information please email , call 240-396-8957 to speak with VanNessaDuckett, log onto our website or join us on Facebook.
