Glogster Writing Assignment Rubric

As your next performance task you will research a topic of your choice. You will write down your research gathering, and you will write down your source. The first checkpoint will be the notecards with the research on the front and the source on the back.

After your research, you will create your own Glogster poster online. You will use a specific sign-in that I will assign you.

What I will be grading for:

1) Five paragraphs about your topic.

Each paragraph should embody supporting details and a consistent main idea, and each paragraph should flow smoothly from main idea to main idea. (20 points)Standards 6/7/8W2 b-d.

The four paragraphs should include an introduction to the topic and a conclusion, or conclusion statement showing what we can learn from your topic and/or apply to our lives. (20 points)Standards 6/7/8W2 a. and f.

2) Four to eight images with captions to match your paragraphs and topic.

These images must include a caption that describes what the image is about and what the image is showing the reader. (20 points)Standards 6/7/8W2 a., b. and d.

3) The Glogster poster must be organized and appealing to the eye. It must show clear effort and creativity. (10 points)Standards 6/7/8W4

4) Your grammar and mechanics must have fewer than two mistakes in punctuation, capitalization, verb agreement, spelling, and incomplete sentences.(10 points)Standards 6/7/8W2e.and 6/7/8L1
