GLEN ELLA JONES SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Glen Ella Jones Scholarship Fund, established in 2015 by the family of Glen Ella Jones, provides a one-time scholarship to a female Utah resident, 21 years of age or older who has graduated from high school or has earned a GED and who has never completed a college degree.

This scholarship may be used at any two or four year college or university, including nationally accredited vocational schools.

Eligibility – The applicant must:

• Be sponsored by a Utah P.E.O. Chapter.

• Must be a female Utah resident, 21 years of age or older.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.

• Must have established educational and career goals.
• Demonstrate financial need

• Must provide proof of enrollment into a college, university or vocational school of her choice at the time of the scholarship award.
• Submit all items on Checklist on page 2

Selection Criteria:

Selection of the scholarship recipient will be based on educational goals, career plans and financial need. The application of the selected scholarship applicant shall be forwarded to the trustees of the P.E.O. Foundation for their approval.

Note: Former recipients or relatives of the current GEJ Committee members, relatives of any trustee of the P.E.O. Foundation or officer of the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood or relatives of the donor of or a substantial contributor to the GEJ fund or any member of the contributor’s familyare not eligible.

Applications shall be sent to the chairman of the Glen Ella Jones Scholarship Fund between January 1 and April 15 of the year in which the scholarship is to be awarded. Recipients of the scholarships will be notified immediately upon approval by the P.E.O. Foundation. Late applications will not be considered.
