Introduction, Ice Breaker Game

Go around the room and have each guest tell how they know the bride to be and for a fun twist, have them say where they thing the bride and groom should go on their honeymoon and what type of transportation they should take to get their. They must use the first letter of their name for the place and the method of transportation. For example, my name is Shelley and I think Sue and John should go to SeasideBeach in a Silverado. Consider giving a game gadget to the most creative guest!

The Don’ts of Matrimony

Number sheets of paper down the side from 1 to 9, representing the number of letters in the word matrimony. Begin each line with the word don’t. The object of the game is to supply a word or phrase for something you would not want a husband to do. Each phrase must begin with a consecutive letter of the word matrimony. As each guest reads her list, the bride to be may be asked to choose a winner on the basis of originality and humor of the answers.

Have each guest keep their word and as you read the story and come to a blank, they fill in the blank with the word they have written down. Remind if necessary what an adjective is ( great, wonderful, groovy, beautiful, fine, etc.).
