Getting Ready for a Barrel of Fun...... NikiHulstine

Thought you would like to see the barrels we have painted at the SITC and Life Choices for the summer arts festival.

Where is the good in'Good-Bye'?

Mary Picard, pictured with Director Connie Koontz, has been an important part of the Cass / Sarpy family for many years. Having made the decision to resign her position andenjoyher role as a grandmother of 10, the Cass/ Sarpy group set up a farewell party that fit the occasion. With burgers and hot dogs on the grill it seemed like every flat surface in the area was filled with mouth watering food. There were pictures and hugs, a few tears, but more smiles and a promise from Mary to stay in touch with the people that are so grateful for everything she has done over the years. Best Wishes Mary!

Tributes from the Heart

Supporting others and giving back are important.

This was recently demonstrated by the folks in the South Area. With a donation of flowers, they set to work redesigning and making bouquets from the heart. South Day Services made and delivered 22 arrangements to the Domestic Violence Council to be given out for Mother's Day. Life Choices arranged 15 red, white and blue bouquets and delivered them to veterans at the V.A. Hospital.

Thanks to Heaffy and Heaffy for the floral donations and thanks to all who had a hand in this meaningful show of support.

Birthday Bash

April 26th Walter and friends gathered to celebrate his 55th birthday. It was a great spring day to celebrate. Party goers enjoyed pizza and ice cream cake.Music was the backdrop to a memorable day of seeing friends and celebrating Walter.

Who can Out smart, Out laugh, Out run the competition?

The Blair team decided to find out! Starting with the National Walk at Lunch Day idea, the folks in Blair split into 6 teams ( Orange Chargers, Purple Asps, Blue Barracudas, Seaweed Sharks, McGyvers Survivors and Rainbow Runners) to determine bragging rights for the next year. Competition was tough and strategy played a part in the activities. The Blue Barracudas were the overall points champions, but everyone who participated and 'survived' were the real winners. Thanks to everyone who put this great event together!

Julie and Steve prepare their team for the competition.
