Preview the Chapter and read the Questions for Purposeful Reading. They start on section 1.3 and will be on the Overview for each section.
As you are watching the videos, take Cornell notes. Follow the PQR2ST+. Make sure you put any key terms in the left hand column. You can watch the videos as many times as you need to. Keep the Questions for Purposeful Reading in mind.
You can do screen shots of examples given in the videos. Adding these to your Cornell notes, will only help you.
You are to “Sensibly Highlight” the packet.
BEFORE you take the Exam for this section, review all of the Questions for Purposeful Reading. What do you know? This is a self-evaluation. What do you know? What do you need to review or ask Mrs. Dean to explain BEFORE you take the exam(s) or do the simulations? Remember to submit the questions.
You can use your notes and handouts to take the Exams and the Simulations.
If you miss any questions on the Exams, please review the questions you missed. Have Mrs. Dean go over the questions that you missed.
If you fail the exam, you MUST tell Mrs. Dean before closing it!
You will need to take the Exam over until you get a passing score. You are limited to three times for Exams and three times for Simulations.
Do not move onto the next section until you have passed the Exams and Simulations.
Exams = 80% or >
Simulations = 100%
NOTE: Because these exams and simulations are “Open Book”, you should make sure you are prepared. You should get 100% the first time you take them, but if you don’t, talk to Mrs. Dean. She will help you!
