Top Shows in Las Vegas

Phantom Las Vegas Spectacular- (Venetian) Proving that Broadway shows can be longer and more overwrought than necessary, this shorn version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic is by every measure better than the original.

KA - Cirque du Soleil- (MGM Grand) The tale of imperial twins separated and beset by danger-filled encounters makes brilliant use of its $100 million showroom and a stage that, in its twirls and swoops, redefines the very concept of a stage. Kà is simply something that does not exist anywhere else in live theater, and yet its triumph is also that technology enhances rather than overshadows the human performances and the emotion of the storytelling.

Blue Man Group- (Venetian) Blue Man Group at the Venetian is unlike any other show on the Las Vegas Strip. There are no elaborate costumes, no death-defying acrobatics and no scantily clad dancers. There are simply three blue-hued men dressed in black who make music, make you laugh and make you think.

O - Cirque du Soleil-(Bellagio) Surprises await you at every turn as you transcend to another realm of the imagination at Cirque du Soleil’s “O.” First, you laugh at a silly spectacle of two clowns attempting to stay dry under an umbrella filled with holes as they weave their way through the audience before the show begins. Then you are immersed in the smell of spices as a man swings an incense container while several other peculiar looking characters scatter down the aisles through the seats toward the stage. Mystery, intrigue and anticipation hang in the air for the journey to begin.

Jersey Boys- (Palazzo) Jersey Boys at the Palazzo is a cinematic journey through the lives of Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi and Bob Gaudio and their rise to stardom as The Four Seasons. Their voices fit together in perfect harmony yet each of The Four Seasons had a distinctly different personality that becomes apparent as they take turns telling their side of the story.

Mystere - Cirque du Soleil (Imperial Palace) Japanese for festival, Matsuri is a spirited, heart-pounding production that fuses the allure of world-class athletics and extreme sports in a variety show of unique specialty acts. A cast of 18 Japanese athletes defy imagination as they perform incredible stunts including the “Human Jump Rope,” “Judo Tango,” “Lion Dance” and “Foot Drums.”

Le Reve- (Wynn) Leave reality behind and experience the fantastical world of Le Rêve, created by Franco Dragone, at Wynn. French for the dream, Le Rêve, depicts a colorful world of beautiful and mystifying characters. The experience starts when you first enter the theater and realize that this is not your typical showroom. The circular 1608-seat theater is situated around a 27-foot pool with the furthest seat only 42 feet from the water.

LOVE - Cirque du Soleil (Mirage) if you're looking for a show that's a fusion of acrobatics, dance and visual effects, accompanied by a classic rock 'n' roll soundtrack, then all you need is LOVE.
