Georgetown Eagle Relays

Dear Coach,

Thanks for accepting our invitation to the 2013 Eagle Relays. We are looking forward to an exciting and competitive day of running and field events.

Our scratch meeting is from 7:30-8:00 a.m. in the field house classroom @ East View High School. Please have all changes printed off and ready to be turned in when you arrive at the scratch meeting as described in the instructions sent by Curtis Parker. All field event and heat sheets will be passed out at 8:30 a.m. Events will start at the times listed. All running events are finals against time.

There are restrooms available near the concession stands in the Northwest side of the complex. Remind your athletes to stay out of the High School and all GISD facilities except where posted. Team Camps will be allowed behind the west side bleachers and in the fenced area west of the High Jump pit, and North of the track in the grass. Please do not set up tents or camps in the stands or on the field of play.

Parking is available north of the Track & Field complex. Please monitor your camp area and have your athletes pick up trash and belongings prior to departure.

Our booster club will provide lunches for your team if there if you let them know prior to Tuesday, March 19th how many meals you will need. Checks / payment will be handled through the GHS Track Booster Club and payment can be delivered at the event if prior arrangements have been made. ¾ inch spike limit.

There will be no “jam boxes” or portable music devices allowed in the stadium. IPods, etc. are allowed.

No gum, or sunflower seeds are allowed on the track or field.

A concession stand will be open. We will feed the coaches a box lunch beginning at 11:45 AM.

Coaches make sure that you allow only athletes that are warming up for events on the field. There will be a training tent set up for those athletes that need assistance. We will also have water on the field for participants only. If you want your athletes taped, please have the necessary tape or equipment available. We will not provide tape.

FIELD EVENT LOCATIONS

Throwing events are located East of the track. Please remind all spectators to remain within the fenced areas provide for their safety.

Varsity High Jump will be held South of the field and the JV High Jump will be stationed on the field.

Long Jump, Triple Jump, and Pole Vault are located along the southwest portion of the complex.

*Awards can be picked up in the press box 15 minutes after completion of the last race.
