  1. ELIGIBILITY:

Competitors eligible to take part in the event must be in possession of a valid MSA Oval Racing Competitors. Refer GCR 227. Vehicles must comply with DO4SA class requirements as at date of event. (Please specify any class Reg’s at venue.

The Organisers reserves the right to cancel any race or heat of a race class or complete entry should such a class have less than 6 entries.

7.2Entry fee for National / Regional/ club classes will be R200.00 and is payable by 26 September 2015.

7.3Tickets: All competitors will receive 2 tickets per entry.

7.4Competitors may purchase additional gate entry ticket at a discounted price from the race secretary at documentation. (if this applies to your club)

7.5Gate Entry Fee for spectators:

Entry Fees:Adults @ R80.00 Children @ R 30.00

7.6Any competitor arriving after the close of documentation will only be permitted to race with the permission of the Stewards and will forfeit the right to be included in the draw for grid positions or qualifying. The organizers reserve the right to accept or reject an entry, with provision that the refusal of an entry can only be with the express authority of MSA. After business hours the refusal can only be with the express permission of the Stewards.

7.7Late Entry Penalty: NIL

  1. GENERAL:
  2. Pit Area: No private car will be allowed into the pit area. Trailers are to be left in area indicated by the Organizers. No unauthorized vehicles will be allowed into the pit area. NO ALCOHOL OR SMOKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA. REFER TO OT 10

8.2Signals:Flags as per MSAORC OT11 with / without additional lights.

8.3Accidents, Retirements, Protests and Appeals: Retirements must be reported to pit Marshals / Scorers without delay. Protest forms are available from the Race Secretary and the competitor concerned must submit protests. Refer to OT 42 of the MSAORC Handbook. The Race controllers will be available at the documentation office for the purpose of hearing queries and protests 30 minutes after the last race of the night.

8.4Grid Positions, scoring and results: Refer to OT 13, OT 14, OT 15 and OT 17

Grid positions will be posted on the notice board. The Grid will work as follow. There will be groups, those who raced 0 nationals this year will be group 3, those who raced 1 will be group 2, and those who raced 2 will be group 1, in each group the will draw separately , this makes it more fair for those who raced all the legs as far … The event will run on a 2heats and final format. Heat 1 – draw, Heat 2 – inverted draw and Final – most points pole. The organisers in consultation with the Clerk of the Course will finalize the number of cars per race and racing sequence.

The heats and final will be scored according to OT 34.

The results at the completion of the last heat will be posted on the notice board as soon as possible after release. The final results of the event will be posted at the venue of the prize giving function.

8.5Postponement, abandonment or cancellation:

The Organizers retain their rights, and in particular their rights in terms of GCR 244 – this meeting will not be cancelled, postponed or abandoned without the consent of the Stewards of the meeting.

The organizers may use the above dates as rain dates.

  1. TROPHIES AND PRIZEGIVING:

Trophies or awards will be given to,1st, 2nd & 3rdwith most points overall. The Organizers reserve the right to increase the awards. Any competitor having earned a trophy will forfeit it if he/she does not attend the prize giving or arranged his/her absence with the Clerk of the Course / Secretary of the Meeting. He / She will also be responsible for advising who will be collecting the trophy on his / her behalf.

Subject to the time limit for protests, appeal or post race scrutiny the prize giving function is to be held in the Club House or venue as advised to competitors at driver’s briefing not later than 1 hour after the last race. Should any class be affected by a protest or post event scrutiny the prize giving will not be delayed, but will proceed without the class (es) so affected.

Refer to Part IX & X of the GCR Handbook, and OT 42

All competitors, their families and pit crew members are welcome to attend. Seating is strictly on a first come first served basis. Competitors are advised that the prize giving is still a part of the event and any misconduct will be dealt with under MSAORC / MSA HANDBOOKS.
