Specific instructions for slides

1. Complete the group planning worksheet and turn in on the day of your presentation.

2. PowerPoint presentation with at least 12 slides. *

3. Include imageswhich illustrate the key parts of the key stories in your assigned chapters of Genesis.

4. Works Cited slide must be presented in proper MLA format. Cite all sources including citations for images

5. include one or more slides with a quiz (which includes answers). The quiz will be part of your presentation. Creativity and class involvement are encouraged.

6. Transitions and animations on each slide should improve the delivery of content, not distract from it.

Required Information to include regarding content from your assigned chapters (the required elements below can take up more than one slide—you may combine some elements—for example summary may use an image with animation to overlay text during the presentation—which would count as one slide)

1.a brief and accurate summary of each key aspect of your assigned chapters (break the presentation into chapters if your assigned reading spans two stories)*

2. at least one image (limit of 7-10 images total should be a good guideline) to support the telling of the stories

3. at least one verse (a limit of 4 total verses is a good guideline for the whole project) of the chapter of Genesis—properly transcribed (and cited in your Works Cited). The verses cited should reflect a key moment or moments in the stories assigned to your group

4. Other graphic elements to clarify confusing details—for example a list of characters with an image for each one; or a slide devoted to a family tree or a vocabulary of the bible slide with confusing terms defined.

5. Transitions required for each slide. Animations for each slide should be at least 3—titles, bulleted lists, images should all feature animation.

*Your group should know enough about your assigned chapters so that you can answer questions at the end of your presentation.

Tasks to divide between your group members:

1. Group Leader – responsible for communicating with everyone and making sure all tasks are accomplished.

2. Researcher (rotate this job)find images, research MLA format (OWL at Purdue), verify that your understanding of the chapters is accurate with online sources (use the references section of Wikipedia—not Wikipedia itself)

3. Timer---make sure the group is moving along at a productive pace.

4. Recorder/designer—again, this job can be shared. This person creates the slides and does the technical work needed to make animations, arrange text boxes and other features of the selected presentation mode (iegoogle slides, keynote, ppt, or Prezi).

*You must practice your presentation together before you present to the class! Remember, this is an opportunity to practice professionalism and poise with your colleagues.
