General Meeting 02/16/11

Called to order

  1. Meeting minutes from the 01/19/11 meeting reviewed motion By Tyler Palmiscno second by Jim Enright- all in favor- motion carries

Roberta talked about the Loss at whitey’s a total short at whitey’s was $537.50. we will wait to see who gets into the business there and wait to sign a lease for the gaming business.

Old Business

  1. Pulled out of whitey’s – They will write of the $259.50 shortage as rent payment. She has until the end of June to figure out the other shortage.
  2. Clothing- Team identity is off our website. They asked for suggestions for the clothing and it was mentioned to work with gerrells or in prints to have something through them as out standard clothing. Brent will work on through the summer.
  3. Loan at the blue line $65877.01- like to get this paid off soon.
  4. New sticker logo- stick with the E but make some changes. Tony took a design and will start to work with Bydahl on this.
  5. The Kofstad Benefit…. Great turn out and very successful benefit. Talked about the families trip to the cities for the MN wild Game v.s St Louis Blues

New Business

  1. Remodel at the civic is going to council at the end of the month and they are looking for it to be completed by the 1st of September… there is no final plan but they are working on it.
  2. Hockey school Conversation about the tournament at the end of the month. It could be a money maker for the Blue line however there would need to be support from the EGF families as they would need to help out and work it. Possibly a Pee-wee and Bantam Tourney too.
  3. Membership- we are not at 100% maybe having something at the arenas that are visible so people can see their names there and if they are not on the list. Grandparent/Senior discount…for those that do not have a child on the blue line but would like to be part of it.
  4. Gate fees-prepaid gatefees it seems to be the way they are going now… they will need to come up with an amount.
  5. Community sign- the $50,000.00 will be wrapped into the Civic remodel and we need to decide on an amount to donate.
  6. New Zamboni- BLC asked city to sell advertising on it.
  7. Mark D’s comments- EGF is hosting 12U districts Saturday and Sunday- He wished all teams good luck in districts that start this coming weekend. Hope to have ones that move on to Regions

Things he would like to accomplish- Training aides for dry land-stickhandling- a more up to date space for this and we need to find the right space so that everything does not need to be chained down.
