General Instructions for candidates applying for the post of PRINCIPAL

  1. Candidates must possess the qualifications as prescribed by the University from time to time for the post of PRINCIPAL. The post carries AICTE/UGC pay scales plus admissible allowances. Prescribed Application Forms and details regarding Minimum Qualifications Eligibility Criteria are available at the university website:
  2. Any addendum/ dedendum/ corrigendum with regards to this recruitment shall be posted on the website of the University only.
  3. It will be open to the University to consider names of suitable candidates who might not have applied.
  4. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification or the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be necessarily considered or called for the interview. University reserves the right to accept or reject the candidature.
  5. The shortlisted candidates only would be called for interview.
  6. Relaxation, if any, may be made in exceptional cases on the recommendations of the Selection Committee, subject to the approval of the BOG.
  7. The University reserves the right not to fill up any of the advertised post.
  8. Consequence upon adoption of self-certification provisions as required by the Govt. of India, the University shall process the applications entitle on the basis of information/documents submitted by the candidates. In case the information / documents are found to be false / incorrect by way of omission of commission, the responsibility and liability shall lie solely with the candidate.
  9. Candidate may ask to submit documents in support of their qualifications/publications/experience at any stage, if required.
  10. The University shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected at any stage that the documents submitted by the candidates are fake or the candidate has suppressed relevant information, than his/her services shall be terminated without prejudice to any other action initiated by the University.
  11. The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertisement post(s) at any time without giving any reason.
  12. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates.
  13. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
  14. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications & eligibility criteria laid down in the advertisement.
  15. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
  16. a. No interim correspondence shall be entertained form the candidate.

b. All correspondence from the University, including interview call, if any, shall be sent to the email address supplied by the candidate.

  1. Candidates are requested to send their applications in to prescribed form only.
  2. Candidates called for interview shall do so at their own expenses. No TA/Da shall be paid.
  3. Candidate has to send his/her latest Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) along with prescribed application form.
  4. Application completed in all respects in prescribed form alongwith relevant documents (scanned documents), supporting papers, Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS)and self-prepared resume is to be sent through e-mail to with the caption “An application for the post of Principal, GNU-UVPCE from Dr. (candidate’s name)” OR “An application for the post of Principal, GNU-IOT from Dr. (candidate’s name)” for the post of Principals in ‘Ganpat University – U.V. Patel College of Engineering’ and ‘Ganpat University – Institute of Technology’ respectively.
  5. The University shall not be responsible for any delay or unsuccessful delivery of e-mail due to any technical error or fault.
  6. The candidates are instructed to carefully read the eligibility criteria. Application received without complete information or without requisite qualification shall be rejected.
  7. In case of any dispute with regard to shortlisting and/or selection of candidate, the decision of the University shall be final and binding to all.
  8. Candidate applying for both the Institutions shall have to apply separately.
  9. The last date for receipt of duly filled application is February 7, 2017.
