The role of the Quality Manager in its simplest form, is to ensure compliance with national and international standards and relevant legislation and to actively promote quality improvement as a business imperative throughout the whole organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of IQA.
- Centre co-ordination role.
- Lead BSI internal and external audits.
- Liaise with external auditors, ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with the relevant standard (e.g. ISO 9001/14001/18001 etc.) in a timely manner.
- Set Quality Assurance compliance objectives and timescales ensuring that targets are achieved to plan.
- Consolidation/communication of Company KPI’s
- Management and overseeing of OTLA process.
- Define appropriate and relevant quality procedures and ensure that adequate quality controls are in place in conjunction with the relevant staff.
- Implement/maintain both quality and document control procedures and ensure Intranet availability.
- Implement, collate and analyse performance data against defined parameters (i.e. industry best practice; local and national priorities etc.)
- Maintain Ofsted Grade One at inspection.
- Produce and carry out surveys and focus groups to enhance the learner experience.
- Train employees on quality measures and Company Policy – staff CPD relating to Training delivery - including E&T Training, Onefile and any other relevant qualifications.
- Management and monitoring of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Management and development of the Self-Assessment Report
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality & Compliance Manager.
Requirements (Essential)
- Must have minimum 5 year’s experience in quality control and/or management.
- Knowledgeable about international standards such as BS 7799 Information Security management System Standards, ISO 14001 Environmental Standards and ISO 9000 Quality Management Standards.
- Competent in IT.
- Attention to detail and good report writing skills.
- Have awarenessof local and national priorities and an ability to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and great attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal.
Additional Requirements (Desirable)
- Relevant qualifications from Quality Management Institutes or Societies.
- Ideally experience of working in the Further Education (FE) Sector/Work Based Learning.
- Knowledge/experience with Ofsted.
- Hols a Teaching Qualification/Assessor Qualification.
- Held an IQA role.
