Injunctions to Prevent Gang-Related Violence

Section 50 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009 requires the Secretary of State to review the implementation of gang injunctions and lay before Parliament a report on the outcome of this review. The review of gang injunctions will service two main purposes: firstly, to ensure that gang injunctions are being used as they were intended; and secondly, to gauge their effectiveness in tackling gang-related violence.

Completion of this form is voluntary. However, information submitted to the Home Office will be greatly appreciated and support the appropriate and effective use of gang injunctions. Information will be used to inform the review of gang injunctions only and no identifying details will be included in the review.

This form is split into 3 sections to be completed where relevant as detailed below:

Section 1 (pg 1): Applicant/respondent details – please complete for all data returns

Section 2 (pg 2): Injunction details –for new applications only

Section 3 (pg 5):Update details –following committal proceedings or when an application for the discharge or variation of a gang injunction has been made only
Injunction applicants are encouraged to complete the relevant sections of this form and to return them via secure email to , ideally within 2 weeks of the last relevant court date.
