Gamer Club Bylaws

Purpose:Provide a student-led club to discuss the latest news about the gamingindustry, examine gaming culture and to play newest games (which may include: card games, board games, and video games).

I. Member Requirements

  1. Membership is not limited to grade level, certain groups, or any type ofpreference.
  2. Members are responsible for not allowing the time commitment to this clubto interfere with their school performance.
  3. All interested students MUST arrive to their first meeting with a signed permission slip. Club members have permission slips and they are available in A-43.
  4. All school and country rules and regulations apply.Members may be suspended and/or permanently dismissed for gross misconduct.
  1. Meetings
  2. Meetingswill be held on Tuesdays from 2:20 to 3:30 in Mr. McDaniel’s classroom (A-43).
  3. Changes to meeting dates and times may be made via morning and/or afternoon announcements.
  1. General outline of meetings
  2. Introduction of the meeting followed by a brief on what we are going to do.
  3. Set up game stations and any other setting.
  4. Begin club activities.
  5. Pack up any equipment brought by members (clean up).
  1. Positions
  2. President
  3. The leader of the club takes care of meeting, events, and date changes.
  4. Monitors other positions to understand that all positions are doing their job correctly.
  5. Vice- President
  6. Does the same as the leader, but needs approval from the president for actions.
  7. If leader is not present, then the vice-president takes the role of the leader.
  8. Officers
  9. Enforce the rules of the club (if rules are broken).
  10. Ensures that everybody is having fair play with all the members.
  1. Elections
  2. Applicant must have been a member for at least ½ of the meeting dates.
  3. The person wanting a position must go to a meeting and make a statement as to why they should receive the position.
  4. All members must vote on the individual and the one with the most votesreceives the position.
  1. Equipment
  2. Treat all equipment with great care. You break it… you bought it.
  3. Members may be suspended or ejected from the club for mistreatment of equipment.
  4. All equipment brought in for the usage of other members must have consent of the sponsor or president of the club and will require filling out a form of approval.
