Field Set-Up:
Game goals be unlocked from the fence and put into position
Game Balls be placed around the field 3-5 minutes before the game starts
Team Benches to be moved (if needed)
Table and Chairs to be set up between team benches
Penalty Clock and Walkie to be taken to scorer table
Scoreboard control to be set-up
Microphone to be tested
Pick up roster from visiting team and deliver to announcer in press box
Field Tear-Down:
Assist team with picking up game balls from around field
Return penalty clock and walkie to press box
Return table and chairs to press box
Move game goals back to grassy area at NE corner of field and locked to fence
Put microphone and scoreboard control back into carrying bag
Scoreboard Operator/Timekeeper:
Run the clock
Update the score,period and timeouts
Set halftime clock based on referee's instructions
Announcer:
Announce the starting lineups
Ask crowd to stand for national anthem
Announce anthem singers (if applicable)
Enthusiastically describe plays on field, focusing on goals, assists and stellar plays for BOTH teams - we must remain as neutral as possible
Announces penalties
Announce ongoing raffles (if appropriate)
Announce upcoming games
Announce sponsors
Penalty Clock:
Sits at table between player benches
Operates penalty clock based on penalty announced by referee
Informs player in penalty box when they can return to the field (provide 5 second countdown)
Uses walkie to relay penalty information to press box to be announced
Statistics:
Maintains statistics for VHS players only unless opposing coach asks to have stats kept for their team as well
Has statistics and final game score signed by referee at end of game
Provides stat sheet to coach and emails stats to webmaster to be placed into website
Photographer:
Takes as many action shots as they would like - photos will be put on website, placed on lacrosse websites, and may be used for end of year banquet slide show. A DropBox (or other sharingaccount) will be created to allow for upload of photos.
Videographer:
Takes video of entire game - videos can then be put into a DropBox (or other sharing)account as well to be placed on website and on VHS Lacrosse YouTube site. College coaches are relying more and more on video for recruiting to the next level.
