IWLCA Announces Division II Academic Honor Roll

45 student-athletes recognized for excellence in the classroom

The IWLCA has announced that 45 Division II student-athletes have earned Academic Honor Roll status for 2008, including three IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-Americans. Players must have achieved at least junior year status and have a minimum GPA of 3.2. National runner up C. W. Post, along with Bloomsburg, Molloy and St. Thomas Aquinas, all had four honorees to lead all schools. All-Americans include Theresa Nolan from Belmont Abbey, Mallory Poole from C. W. Post, and Julie Kraus from Southern New Hampshire University.

Poole, the IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is a member of the United States national women’s lacrosse team. She was the ECC Player of the Year and the NYCAC Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year. A member of the IWLCA Academic Honor roll from 2005-2007, Poole was a member of the 2008 NCAA All-Tournament Team. A physical education major, she represented the USA at the 2008 Prague Cup.
