Main Objectives

1.To provide an adequate assessment, tenancy allocation and monitoring system for Fair Chance Scheme clients.

2.To help ensure an adequate supply Fusion tenancies and other related property that are of a required standard and meet need through a system of inspection and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1.To help ensure an adequate supply of suitable accommodation for Fusion clients.

2.To adequately assess and allocate accommodation to Fair Chance Scheme clients

3.To operate a tenancy monitoring system for Fusion clients.

4.Carry out inspections on all relevant properties and take action if needed to ensure they meet required standards.

Role Specific Duties

  1. Carry out an inspection on all property associated with Fusion Managed Tenancy Schemes, Bond Guarantee Schemes and Fair Chance Schemes.
  2. Liaise with relevant Housing Providers to ensure an adequate supply of suitable tenancies for Fair Chance Scheme clients.
  3. Using available information, match clients to available accommodation.
  4. Discuss all risk information with Line Managers and ensure that it is accurately recorded.
  5. Ensure that all offers of accommodation for Fair Chance Scheme Clients are recorded and followed up.
  6. Assist the Bond Worker and Senior Housing Management Worker in the sign up process where needed.
  7. Liaise on regular basis with Intervention Workers to ensure that Fair Chance Scheme clients remain suitably housed.
  8. Maintain a tenancy monitoring system for all relevant clients and ensure that periodic tenancy monitoring visits are carried out to clients who do not require intensive support.
  9. Maintain up to date knowledge of property inspection systems and required standards through training, professional development and regular liaison with Local Council Private Sector Housing Departments.
  10. To participate in the assessment of all referrals to the Fair Chance Schemewhere needed.
  11. Maintain adequate systems for recording the outcomes of all property inspections.
  12. To devise and implement an action plan where properties do not meet the required standard.
  13. To offer advice and assistance to other members of Fusion Housing staff on property standards issues.
  14. Help facilitate the movement of Fusion clients between tenancies if needed.
  15. Liaise with Landlords of Fair Chance Scheme clients to ensure that repairs are reported, carried out and other risks of the tenancy failing are minimized.
  16. Attend regular Housing Management Team and Fair Chance Hub Meetings as required.

1.3To work within the Health and Safety and Fire regulations and to be familiar with Health and Safety appliances, policy and procedures, fire drill and evacuation.

2.To liaise and promote Fusion's services with other organisations to build good working relationships and maintain them.

4.To participate in strategic development of the organisation, internally and externally.

5.To attend and contribute to staff meetings and other relevant meetings.

6.To take joint responsibility for the effective use of support and supervision and annual appraisals.

7.To work with the team in monitoring, evaluating and developing the services.

8.To participate in relevant training courses.

9.To complete the day planner and check emails on a daily basis, and check for policy updates on the intranet at least once per month.

10.To undertake any other duties as required by the Director.
