N.B. Most organisations specify that upholstered items e.g. sofas and mattresses etc. must have a fire retardant label complying with 1988 regulations.
An alternative way of disposing of furniture is to sell it via the internet e.g. via
Epsom Borough Collection will collect furniture for disposal at the Civic Amenity site, Blenheim Road Epsom KT19 9AP. You may be asked to prove that you are a Surrey resident

Furniture will need to be moved to the kerbside on the morning of collection.
