Awards for All (England and Scotland)

Awards for All is a Lottery grants scheme aimed at local communities. They award grants of between £300 and £10,000 in a simple and straightforward way.

How can they help your organisation and community?

They can fund projects that enable people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.

You can apply at any time

  • The application form is short and simple
  • There are links to guidance notes and sources of help
  • You will be told if you are successful or not within 8 weeks

If you are planning a project and you need between £300 and £10,000 then Awards for All may be able to help you. Sometimes quite small sums of money can have a big impact.

Local Authority Funding

Local authorities work with EYDCPs to make the most of new funding opportunities. They help with co-ordinating,consulting, planning and putting into practice initiatives likeSure Start local programmes, Early Excellence Centres,the Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative, children’s centres andout-of-school schemes.

The EYDCP Business Support Officer can advise you about other support and advice that is available from your local authority and partnership.

School Sports Partnership (for children from 5yrs old only)

SSP are a Government Funded Body whose goal is to bring greater awareness about the benefits of sport and activity to children aged 5 onwards. They have aggressive targets to meet which includes 2 hours of PE during curriculum time by 2008 and an additional 3 hours which should be integrated in out of hours learning time by 2010.
