Sound Bingo 2 (weeks 1,3 and 5)
You will need:
Word Resource List
Copy the Bingo Square Sheet for each student (See Appendix)
Magnetic Letter Tiles (each student selects 9 consonants)
Chips or paper scraps to cover Bingo Squares

You will need:
A picture book that tells a narrative story. Be sure there are no more than 5-6 sentences per page.
The story can include predictable language patterns. It is important that it presents sequential events.

Comments: / Echo/Letter Formation Page 140:
Remind students of proper pencil grip and sitting position, and give them their Dry Erase Tablets.
Dictate 5-6 previously taught sounds. You select and say the sound. Students echo the sound and say the letter.
Next have a student come up to the classroom board to make the letter on the Writing Grid.
Then have all students write the answer on their Dry Erase Tablets as you direct them with the letter formation verbalization.

Proper Dictation Activity procedures are very important. Be sure to follow their demonstration on the CD-ROM.

This is a teaching time, not a testing time. Be sure students repeat each dictation. They should tap and orally spell the Unit words before writing. / Comments:
