Full Instructor Positions in Public Health

Position

The Faculty of Health Sciences has an opening for one full-time Instructor position in public health (term concludes June 30, 2020); possibility for extension contingent on funding. Candidates should have a graduate degree in public health; experience in a public health discipline (biostatistics, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, health policy and/or health promotion); and experience teaching public health courses. This position involves teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to the University community through service work.

The Faculty has a dynamic and collaborative teaching and research culture. The Public Health degree provides a range of career options within a growing multidisciplinary field of practice (e.g., population health promotion, epidemiology, Indigenous health, disease prevention & control, food safety, community development, project coordination, program evaluation, and health policy). The program is unique in Alberta and supports provincial and national health goals to promote wellness and population health, and to develop knowledge in the core competencies for public health. The position will commence as soon as possible.

Qualifications

An MPH, MSc or PhD in Public Health.

The Faculty of Health Sciences currently offers undergraduate and graduate education in Aboriginal Health, Addictions Counselling, Nursing, Public Health and Therapeutic Recreation.
