*Specific PD for CogAT interpretation is being developed at the district level. Erin,Susan, Lauren and myself will be securing time for this PD to help teachers as they communicate results with parents. We are currently gathering feedback to determine when would be the best time to deliver this PD.

*Victoria Hogg and Melissa Pierce attended a workshop on AP/AIG. They would like to share this information with high school AP teachers. I would appreciate feedback from prinicipals and AP teachers on how to best get this information to AP teachers face to face. Please forward any feedback to me by March 31 regarding locations/times that would allow Victoria and Melissa a venue to share this information.

*Headcount is coming in April. Make sure your screening lists are current and all students who need to be added have been submitted on the current AIG Local Plan form AIG 6 (K-2), AIG 7 (3-12).

*Dates for the school site DEP Showcases have been added to the calendar and are on the AIG Website. Please make sure your school date is posted on your AIG school website.

*March 31 is the last day for requests for testing for any student K-2.

*School AIG web pages need to be updated before March 23rd. SACS accreditation is upon us and we need to make sure we have active and updated websites for stakeholder access. Central Elementary has a great page if you are looking for a model.

*Co-Teaching PD will be held for teachers working with gifted clusters at the elementary level next school year. Each specialist will provide training with their identified cluster teachers. These teachers will receive a survey to gather information to determine the best time for this training.

*AIG Summer Enrichment Camp information will be sent to schools this week. Please share with students and parents.

*Robotics Competition date change. It is now April 21, 2011. Remember teams are to be from 3 to 5 students.

*Students should be finishing up their portfolios that they will submit this month. Student portfolios must be here at ADR on or before March 21, 2011. We cannot accept these after this date. Please make sure your teachers know the due date and your GPS teams has a date set prior to March 21 for portfolio completion at the school level. We are very limited on sub money, so we will be reorganizing this committee. Thanks to all of you who have asked to be on this committee, we will be contacting those on the committee by March 4.

*Governor’s School information has arrived. Student letters are being sent out this week. We will publish student names after all students who applied have been notified personally.

*Note date change for Advisory Committee and AIG PAC Course #2 Session 4 Elementary
