FSE "PERM GUNPOWDER MILL"
Federal State Enterprise (FSE) "Perm Gunpowder Mill", being one of the largest enterprises of the Russian defense complex, was established in 1934.
Throughout World War II, the mill was engaged in the manufacture of gunpowder, charges for cannon artillery and solid-propellant charges for the famous "Katyusha" multiple rocket launchers.
Extensive experience, highest professionalism of specialists, strict process and performance discipline, continuous search for concepts are the factors assuring high quality of the products presently manufactured by the mill. The range of products includes several hundreds of articles for modern armament systems surpassing the foreign analogs, among them:
- charges for "Grad" and "Smerch" multiple rocket launch systems (MRLS), air-defense complexes;
- propellant charges for air-to-air, air-to-surface close-range and medium-range missiles, etc.;
- launch-booster stages of sea-launched cruise missiles, including the submarine-launched ones;
- solid rocket propellant charges for antiship systems;
- charges for close combat systems and artillery rounds, including those for tank guns and self-propelled gun mounts;
- powder charges for survival equipment;
- spherical powder for small arms.
Besides, the mill currently produces over 100 civil-purpose products and consumer goods, among them:
- wide range of paint-and-varnish products;
- finishing materials;
- poured polyurethanes and heat-insulating foamed polyurethanes;

- acoustic powder pressure generators intended to intensify oil production and well recovery;

• Industrial explosive «Ammonite of No. 6ZhV»

Water resistant industrial explosive Class II. Used for open and underground works, except dangerous gaseous and dusty pits and mines. Produced in a powdery and cartridged form, with explosive mass in a cartridge:
200 g (ammonite No. 6ZhV-200, cartridge diameter- 31-32 mm)
250 g (ammonite No. 6ZhV-250, cartridge diameter-31-32 mm)
300 g (ammonite No. 6ZhV-300, cartridge diameter- 36-37 mm)
Cartridges are packed by 10 pieces in a packet made of polyethylene film followed by insertion into boxes made of corrugated cardboard. Box weight is 25 kg. Guaranteed storage life is 12 months.
Ammonite of No. 6ZhVis a powder 40 kg by weight packed in paper or polypropylene bags. Guaranteed storage life is 12 months.

Cartridge initiation is carried out with electric detonators, detonators, igniter tubes or with detonating cord.
Cartridges are packed by 8 pieces (90 mm in diameter) or by 18 pieces (60 mm in diameter) into boxes made of corrugated cardboard. Guaranteed storage life is 12 months.

Water resistant, permissible ammonites Class IV (PZhV-20-300, T-19-300) with cartridge diameter of 36 – 37 mm.
They are used:
- PZhV-20-300 – in workings of dangerous gaseous coal and shale mines, mining dangerous dusty beds, while blasting blast-hole and borehole charges for coal cutting and rock-breaking, including shaking explosion on beds, dangerous or threatened for instantaneous outburst of coal and gas, and on pits with rock outbursts;
T-19-300 – in dangerous gaseous of all categories and dusty mines, for explosive works in conditions, where the usage of explosives Class IV permissibility is allowed, including for shaking explosion on beds, dangerous for instantaneous outburst of coal, rock and gas;
Cartridges of 36-37 mm in diameter are packed by 10 pieces in a packet made of polyethylene film followed by insertion into boxes made of corrugated cardboard. Box weight is 25 kg. Guaranteed storage life is 12 months.

It may be used at ambient temperature in the range of – 50 - + 50 °C.
It detonates using lead detonator. Industrial explosive 40 kg by weight are packed in paper and polypropylene bags. Guaranteed storage life is 6 months. With the additional package in polyethylene bag – insert guaranteed storage life is 12 months.

• Industrial explosive «Grammotol»

Granular industrial explosive. It is the bulk mixture of saltpeter and tritol (TNT) grains, impregnated with liquid oil-product. It is produced in four types, differing between themselves by quantitative ratio of components - Grammotol-5 (with 5% TNT), Grammotol -10 (with 10% TNT), Grammotol- 15 (with 15 (with 15% TNT),Grammotol-20 (with 20% TNT) of two classes of usage:
I Class –Grammotol- 5,Grammotol-10, Grammotol-15, Grammotol-20 produced on tritol, are used to conduct explosive works on the ground surface;
II Class –Grammotol-10, Grammotol - 15Grammotol, -20, produced on granulotol, are used to conduct explosive works on the ground surface and in safety gaseous and dusty faces of underground workings.
Charging of the wells is performed by manual and mechanized method. It detonates using lead detonator. Packaging: in paper bags with polyethylene bag-inserts. Weight – 40 kg. Guaranteed storage life is 6 months.

It may be used in all climatic regions of the country in the range of ambient temperature – 50 - + 50 °C according to rocks of mean hardness and hard rocks except sulfide ore.
Packaging: polyethylene bag-insert and doubled paper bag or packaging set with polyethylene bag. Weight - 40 kg. Guaranteed storage life is 12 months.
