We are now ready to take orders for next year’s diary – which has a cornflower blue cover with a gold embossed crest. The diary price is £3.80. An order form is with your WI Secretary now and the closing date to submit your order to the Federation Office is Monday 19 May 2015.

Please note Delegates to the Annual Meeting at the Royal Albert Hall, London on 3/4 June 2015 need to attend when details of their duties will be explained. Betws y Coed Walking Trip : Tuesday 21 April 2015 –morning in Betws y Coed walking as far as or little as you like and from 2pm the afternoon will be spent in Llandudno. Leaving Llandudno at approximately 4.30pm.

Coach fare £8.00 – pick ups 9am at Wold Court, Hawarden; 9.20am Flint Leisure Centre and 9.40am at New Street Car Park, Mold (by Bethesda Chapel).

NFWI-Wales Centenary Craft Panel Exhibition : at Bulkley Arms, Anglesey on Sunday 17 May 2015 (9am-11am) to include 13 – 5’x3’ panels depicting the last 100 years. Each Federation has been designated a panel (ours is 1930-39). Also exhibition of artefacts throughout the century. After morning in Beaumaris we will travel to Llandudno for the afternoon. Cost per person £10.00. Names and cheques to the Federation Office asap.

Late news –We have now been informed there will be a £3 entrance fee to the NFWI-Wales Centenary Panel Exhibition at the Bulkley Hotel, Anglesey – this will be collected on the coach to make things easier.

Pick-up points: 7.30am (prompt) at Theatre Clwyd, Mold; 7.40am at Flint Leisure Centre by main building; 7.50am at Half Way House, Carmel.

Designated pick-up and drop off points strictly adhered to with no exceptions.

Special WI Centenary Garden Party – Buckingham Palace, Tuesday 2 June 2015 in the presence of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall – 3pm-5pm(see Page 3 for further details).

Broadcast of the Annual Meeting from the Royal Albert Hall, London on Thursday 4 June 2015 on the ‘big screen’ at the Civic Hall, Connah’s Quay starting at 10.30am – 4.30pm (doors open at 10am) with a 90 minute lunch interval from approximately 12.30pm. Come and join us for the day celebrating 100 years of the WI direct from London. Ticket just £5 to include lunch.

Centenary Celebration Afternoon Tea and Craft Competition : at St Ethel-wold’s Church Hall on Wednesday 17 June 2015 from 2pm-4pm. Tickets £5.00. Please send names and cheques to the Federation Office for catering purposes. Please could all names be in by 31 May 2015. Entrance will be by ticket only.

WIs may nominate one member to attend the above and their names (as appears on the photo ID documents taken on the day – see note below) and address should be sent to the Federation Office no later than Thursday 16 April 2015.

The member attending is asked to contribute £25 inclusive of VAT towards the cost of the Garden Party. Attendees should pay this directly to the Federation. These costs are to be met by the individual and not paid for from WI funds. No late entries can be accepted due to deadlines for Palace security checks.

Note: Security checks on entrance

Attendees will be asked to prove their identity by providing two separate forms of identification on the day, one photographic and one showing their current home address eg photo driving licence or valid passport and a document showing an attendee’s name and address (eg a utility bill or bank statement).
