FROM NEWLY ARRIVED IMMIGRANT TO NEWLY EMPLOYED TEACHER

We are looking for teachers with at least three years of education and a teaching degree. If you have previously worked as a teacher then that's even better. You want to work in a primary school or secondary school. If you agree with these three points then we can prepare you for your teaching licence application and then a job in the subjects you were trained in, in a school in the city of Stockholm. Your journey towards employment begins with language training and with practical placements at a school during your language training.
  1. LANGUAGE STUDY IS A PRIORITY
Language studies are always a priority and the foundation of your preparation for a teaching licence and employment as a teacher. Svenska för pedagoger - SFP (Swedish for teachers) offers courses from beginner level to upper secondary level.
  • SFP begins with course SFI-C and an introduction, followed by SFI D where you practice your professional Swedish every week.
  • You then study Swedish as a second language at a basic level, which is divided into two classes, SVA G2 and SVA G3.
  • Finally, you study three courses in upper secondary school Swedish, SVA 1-3, which give you access to university studies.
