New alcohol & pregnancy education resource for health professionals

Alcohol Healthwatch in association with the University of Otago Wellington, is pleased to announce the arrival of the Pregnancy and Alcohol Cessation Toolkit (PACT), an online resource to help health professionals use Ministry of Health guidelines when educating women about alcohol use during pregnancy. The project has been made possible through Ministry of Health funding and the resource is hosted by the Massey University’s AKO Aoteroa website. It will assist the many New Zealand healthcare professionals who say they don’t feel adequately trained to discuss alcohol use with their pregnant patients. For further information view the PACT media release.
