ENQUIRY ABOUT REM RADFET DOSIMETERS (short details, no spec)

1. RADFETS - PRESENT TERMS AND STOCK

REM are the inventorsof the RADFET and supply dosimeters and systems commercially (see We are glad to receive enquiries about the purchase of RADFETs. To give a price, we need an indication of the performance required, because the price is very dependent on specification (see Section 5). To answer an enquiry, we also need a delivery date. As the details below indicate, there is no standard price list. Stocks are normally small but larger quantities, up to tens of thousands, can be produced within a few months. Our response below discusses specific types of dosimeter. In this section, some general points are made.

2. MINIMUM ORDER SIZE AND PRICE GUIDE.

APPROX 10 units of RADFET Type REM CC9.3/TOT601B-9with the miniature TOT601die on a 6-way Type CC9 probe. Initial reponsivity values: PBR 1.9 mV/cGy ; ZBR 0.2 mV/cGy.

4. LARGER QUANTITIES OR MODIFIED DOSIMETER DESIGNS:

Obtainable by purchase order and agreement of a detailed specification.

- TYPICAL DELIVERY - ABOUT 3 MONTHS. Please always give us a desired delivery date. We may at times be able to accelerate the production process.

5. TECHNICAL FACTS.

5.1. Main facts we need to know :

a. Max/ Min dose values to be measured and the radiation energy

b. Vi mode (ZBR or PBR)

c. Number of connections

d. Type of chip encapsulation [preferred semiconductor chip carrier and lid type]

5.2 Other facts

Definitions - Vi = irradiation bias. PBR= "positive-bias response" under Vi = +9V. ZBR= "zero bias response" under Vi = zero or low voltage. The quoted responsivities are batch-variable i.e. are approximate. By "specification", used above, we mean the essential technical facts which will help us to meet a user's performance requirements. On receiving a specification we will send a data sheet giving performance and availability. A specification also allows us to give a "firm price" quotation. In default of a specification we will give a budgetary quotation on Type REM CC9.3/TOT601B-9.
