5. / REVIEW OF PTA ROLES AND WEBSITE
Website:
The Website uses the charity name, “Friends of Rickling”. Events are the primary focus of the website. There are a number of sections to go to in order to find out different information for example Class Dates, what is the PTA? PTA minutes will be placed on the website too. Donations will be made via the website. Donations can also be made using Easyfundraising and “Just giving”. This will enable those who cannot attend to make a donation e.g. the School Disco. There will be individual pages for each event, where people can sign up and bank details of how to pay. The forms for the 100 Club will also be on the website plus other enrolment forms for events. This is a mobile friendly website.
AG & KS informed that no Children’s details/photos are to be put on website. Class Assemblies not be advertised.
This is a website for parents to use.
Business cards will be distributed to the parents to advertise the website.
This item “Review of Website” to be added to the next meeting’s agenda for further discussion.
PTA Roles:
SD wants the role of the Chair not to be a “stand alone” role but for the whole PTA to be involved and share out the responsibilities. It was agreed that a new role of Events Coordinator would help this, to ensure that things happened and they could select various people for specific events.
Charlie F and LD to be the Events Coordinators / Carey F
7. / CLASS REPRESENTATIVES
Need to be elected, suggest one representative per year?
Reception – Tammy Salmon
Y1 – Charlie Farrell
Y2 – Sarah Towns
Y3 – Allison Lynch
Y4 – Stevie Green
Y5 – Claire Freeman
Y6 – Lisa Vaughan
8 / AOB
Request from Alan Gardiner, all Parentmail communications to be seen by the headteacher. This is to enable consistency. Please email Alan Gardiner with the Parentmail request and he will forward to Helen in the office.
Chairs for Assembly – idea to raise money, ask parents to sponsor a chair. Buy a chair for your child! When Year 6 pupils leave the school, their parents normally make a donation, this would be a good fund raiser for this?
9. / DATE OF NEXT MEETING
