With our popular, handicap accessible, Kids Unlimited Playground, you probably already know the value Camp Salmen Nature Park brings to our community. In addition to the playground, the park provides the Slidell area with a unique opportunity to enjoy nature along its trails, Bayou Liberty and wildflower meadows. It is an important source of education, recreation, and relaxation as the park entertains over 40,000 visitors per year, 95% of whom are local residents.

Friends of Camp Salmen Nature Park, Inc., has been designated to receive tax deductible donations as a tax exempt public charity under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Service code. Your gift will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Friends of Camp Salmen Nature Park is planning a concert — Camp Salmen Rockin ' in the Park —fundraiser to benefit the park, and will feature St. Tammany high school music programs and local musicians on May 12, 2018. We are honored that renowned Jazz & Classical pianist and neighbor Ronnie Kole will perform at this event. The majority of the funds generated will go to the park for the restoration of historic Camp Salmen Lodge and shading device for handicap accessible Kids Unlimited Playground. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the participating high school band programs.


There are three levels of sponsorship —

  • Fans - $50-$499
  • Roadies - $500-$1999
  • Rock Stars - $2000 or more

We will begin publicizing the event and our sponsors by March12, 2018. You and/or your company will be credited in the media/advertising prior to and at the event.
