Selection process will be conducted by the CHS Girls Soccer Staff based on the following criteria:

A player that falls below these requirements starts the season ineligible to participate in WIAA sponsored contests.

***Being on a team a previous year does not guarantee one’s place within the program this season. Our goal is to compete for an SPSL TITLE and BE A STATE CONTENDER; therefore, we want student-athletes that will allow us to achieve these goals!

-Student-athletes need to arrive by 8:00 AM on Monday, August 21st so they can be registered with a pinnie number.

1. Athletic Packet will need to be submitted before tryouts. You can register for athletics and girls soccer at the following website:

2. Physical is up to date-they are good for 2 years

3. ASB Card

**If a student-athlete has not completed the above mentioned items, it will prevent them from trying out and impact their chance of being selected for the Girls’ Soccer Team. If you have any questions about athletic registration please contact Mrs. Nyegaard at CHS at OR 566-5710 ext. 2152.

**Viking Days: August 15th and 16th. During these days all of the above (except physical) can be completed.

4. Summer Conditioning

-Summer Conditioning led by the coaches and captains will be held on the following dates at CHS on the field from 8:30-9:30

-Tuesday, August 8th

-Thursday, August 10th

-Tuesday, August 15th

-Thursday, August 17th

-While this is not required, it is strongly recommended that you attend. By coming into tryouts and the season as fit as possible, we can invest more of our time at training on technique and tactics and training will be more focused and cleaner. When an individual get tired, their legs go, their concentration lacks, and in turn, mistakes are committed. As stated above in the tryout section, we can’t be at our best when players are injured, and peak conditioning helps to limit injuries. You can NEVER be fit enough for this game! ~Anson Dorrance

"The vision of a Champion is someone who is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion, when no one else is watching." ~Anson Dorrance

There is only one way to success, it is called hardwork

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard-work, and learning from failure

If you aren’t willing to work for it. Don’t complain about not having it.

Hard work spotlights the character of people. Some people turn up their sleeves. Some people turn up their noses. Some people don’t up at all.
