Plant Science Scholars:
TheFresno-Madera CAPCA Chapter is pleased to announce the call for scholarship applicationsfor the 2018-19 academic year. Two(2) $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded.
Who Should Apply?
The scholarship will be given to a college student who:
- is or will be a Fresno State Plant Science who will be a junior or senior student enrolled in the 2018-19 academic year
- plans to pursue a career in pest management/plant health (Pest Control Advisor)
- has a 2.0 GPA or better
- demonstrates financial need, scholastic ability, achievements and community service, preferably agriculture-related activities.
How Do I Apply?
To apply for a scholarship or to receive additional information, this form will be available 1) Fresno State Plant Science Blackboard page, 2) the Department of Plant Science website under scholarships at or 3) in the Plant Science Office, Ag Science Room 222.
When Should I Apply?
To be eligible for consideration for thisscholarship, applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. April 30, 2018to Dr. Wenger’s email (). Recipients will be notified inearly May 2018. Proof of full time enrollment for the Fall 2018 semesterwill be necessary prior to receiving the award.
CRITERIA
To receive full consideration, the applicant’s packagemust include:
- A fully completed and signed application form, typed or printed legibly;and
- A current copy of academic transcript(s).
