Frequently Asked Questions about PEAK!
- What is PEAK?
- PEAK stands for Parents, Educators and Kids. It is a focus on the work that occurs in the General Music Classroom- On the day of the festival the students will arrive and engage in 3-4 classroom music workshops (singing, Orff ensemble, drumming, etc.) taught by local clinicians. The day ends with a performance by all of the students. Parents are invited to follow their children throughout the day if they wish and everyone is invited to the concert. This provides a great opportunity for parents to have a “peek” into what the students do in their general music classrooms.
- This event is for 4th Grade Students only.
- What do teachers need to do?
- Register the # of students you WISH to bring, and once the enrollment is closed you will be notifiedback with the exact # allowed.
- Example- 98 total 4th graders, Teacher requested 9 students.
- Depending on total enrollment this # is subject to change.
- Once notification happens, more specific information will be sent to you and that is when you would then be responsible for selecting what students you would like to invite. This initial stage is just for teachers and planning purposes.
